Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

What equipment do I need?

Players are responsible for providing their own cleats, shoulder pads, chest pads, elbow pads, gloves, cup, and mouthguard. Helmets and sticks are provided as needed for players who don't have their own. We make sure every player has what they need to play safely.

What age groups do you serve?

Our programs serve youth athletes from kindergarten through 12th grade across three leagues: Youth League (K-4th, coed), Junior League (5th-8th, separate boys and girls divisions), and Senior League (9th-12th, separate boys and girls divisions). Our Summer Sixes program is coed across all grade levels.

How much does it cost?

Fall 2026 registration is $65 per player. We believe in keeping youth sports accessible and affordable for the Rexburg community.

When and where are practices?

Practices and games are typically scheduled on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings, though exact days and times may be adjusted during the season based on field availability and participant needs. All sessions take place in the Rexburg area. Specific field locations are shared upon registration.

Do I need prior lacrosse experience?

Not at all! Our leagues are designed to teach the fundamentals of lacrosse at every level. Whether your child has never picked up a stick or has played for years, our coaching staff will meet them at their level and help them grow.

Who leads the club?

The Rexburg Crusaders are led by Coach and Board President Nick Browneller, who has over 30 years of lacrosse experience. The club is also supported by experienced high school players and assistant coaches who help run practices and games.

Where can I get lacrosse equipment?

Local sporting goods stores carry limited selection, so the best options are online. We recommend Lacrosse Monkey and Tribal West for quality gear at good prices.

How much does it cost to play?

There are two costs to participate. First, an annual US Lacrosse membership ($30–$50) that includes supplemental insurance — this is the governing body for youth lacrosse, available at uslacrosse.com. Second, our club fees ($65–$100) cover balls, field costs, and game refs. This is one of the lowest fees in the league as we work to grow the sport in Rexburg.

How much does equipment cost?

Full youth gear packages run around $400 for 6th–8th grade players. High school players (9th–12th) will pay slightly more due to larger helmet sizes. We recommend checking Lacrosse Monkey and Tribal West for package deals.

How can I help the club?

We're building this club from the ground up, and your support is crucial. We're always looking for sponsorship and fundraising ideas — please share any thoughts you have. You can also spread the word to friends and family, become a team parent to help with administrative tasks, or volunteer as a coach — we welcome experienced coaches and anyone willing to learn.
